The union

Run by the people
on the touchline

We exist to make rugby accessible, safe and joyful for every young person in North Carolina. We sanction competition, certify coaches and referees, safeguard players, and build pathways from a child's first tag game all the way to the NC All Stars.

What we do

The Union's job

01

Sanction competition

We set the fixture calendar, register teams by age grade, and run the state championships.

02

Certify and support coaches

Coach education, safeguarding certification and a conference every season.

03

Safeguard players

Concussion protocol, Emergency Action Plans and codes of conduct enforced at every venue.

04

Grow new clubs

We help volunteers stand up new programs — affiliation, insurance, kit and a first set of fixtures.
