How players get on the USA Rugby pathway
Talent ID Days are open to any eligible player. Here is how the Eagles pathway actually works, and what U18 players need to do.

There are two ways onto the USA Rugby pathway, and the difference matters.
Talent ID Days (TID) are open entry. Any eligible player can sign up and
turn up. Scouts look at two groups: U23 players in the gap between high
school, college and senior rugby, and U18 players born between 2008 and 2010.
Regional Development Days (RDD) are invitation only, for players already
on the radar. They often run the same day, in the afternoon — so a player who
does well at the morning TID may be asked to stay on.
Players can also be spotted at identified club and collegiate tournaments,
where the point is seeing someone play under real pressure rather than in
drills.
